Simply Scored Diagonal Plate

I am so excited – I just got something terrific that is going to be so much fun to use: the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate!  We can make envelopes (of any size) out of cardstock or Designer Series Paper.  And even a raised pattern on the background for card or scrapbook embellishments!  Watch the Stampin’ Up!video to see how easy it is (dimensions listed below so you don’t have to write them down):

Here are the directions and dimensions for making an envelope for a 4.25″ x 5.5″ card:

  • Paper: 7 3/4″ square
  • Score two opposite sides at 3 1/8″, and the other two sides at 4 1/8″
  • Snip out the little triangles at the intersections (see video)
  • Trim off the triangle where the overlaps meet by aligning the paper on your paper trimmer at the 2 1/2″ mark (optional)

And for a 3″ x 3″ love note size card:

  • Paper: 5″ square
  • Score all corners at 2 1/4″
